Youthful carelessness may have been my greatest regret but damn, did I learn. I think there was a lengthy phase in my life when I started to wonder whether or not I really let my own character grow. Did I stagnate for awhile? Had I been the best person I could be? As curious as I am, I will never know and it should never overwhelm me now. I made mistakes here and there, both with people and relationships. But eh, here I am. I can’t change what I’ve already done. I can only hope that I succeed in what I failed in before: compassion, empathy, mindfulness, and respect.
